The Active Group of Companies (ACG), a non-stock corporation led by its founder and chairman Architect Antonio A. Turalba, Sr., have extended financial help to the students of the University of the Philippines Los Baños to be known as the “Turalba Scholarship Fund”.

ACG includes Active Realty and Development Corporation (ARDC), San Agustin Realty, Inc. (SARI), Active Land Estate Sales, Inc (ALESI), Active Construction, Inc. (ACI) and AVT Properties, Inc. (AVTPI).

ACG and UPLB signed a Memorandum of Agreement for Scholarship Grant for Undergraduate UPLB students today, 25 May 2022 at the OC Executive Conference Room.

The representatives during the ceremony are Arch. Turalba, COO Pete Valdez, Gen. Managers Romeo Garcia Jr. and Manny Go from ACG and Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, VC for Student Affairs Janette H. Malata-Silva, CEAT Dean Rossana Marie Amongo and AVC Jickerson Lado from UPLB.

Aforementioned in the agreement is the financial support that will be given by the foundation for the purpose of supplementing the living allowance of underprivileged students, for them to concentrate and complete their degree at the UPLB.

The Turalba Scholarship Fund will be assisting seventy five (75) underprivileged students from the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology.

The agreement was made possible through the efforts of the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology Alumni Association (UPAE- UP Los Baños Chapter), led by its President, Engr. Pantaleon LL. Tabanao.

The application procedures and criteria will be administered by the OVCSA Office of Scholarships and Grants of UPLB.

Also present during the signing are UPLB Vice Chancellors- Dr. Fernando O. Paras, Jr., Dr. Rolando T. Bello and Dr. Roberto Cereno, and CEATAA Board Members- Dr. Myra Borines, Dr. Jovita L.
