The UPLB Department of Industrial Engineering held its Virtual Testimonial and Recognition Program for the graduating class of 2022 at 3:00 PM last August 3, 2022 which was streamed live on Facebook.
A total of 30 BSIE graduates participated in the virtual ceremony via Zoom, with three graduates from Midyear 2021, 10 graduates from 1st Semester A.Y. 2021-2022, and 17 graduates from 2nd Semester A.Y. 2021-2022 including two graduating cum laude.
The ceremony started with the opening remarks by Dr. Rossana Marie C. Amongo, Dean of CEAT, which was followed by the roll call of graduates and the presentation of special awards.
The valedictorian of BSIE Class of 2022, Ms. Yzzan Mae Souribio, gave her speech shortly after the presentation of special awards. “I entered UPLB excited for the new chapter of my life, hindi ko inexpect yung mga challenges na mahahanap ko sa university”, she said in her speech as she reminisced about her journey in her college life. “It wasn’t an easy journey but it was all worth it”, she added.
The chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Dr. Josefa Angelie Revilla, also delivered her message to the graduating class.
Meanwhile, Engr. Alan Marco S. Mercado, the Alumni Relations Head and the Masters of Ceremony, delivered the closing remarks.
