The Honda Philippines Inc., Fuji-Haya Electric Corporation of the Philippines and the University of the Philippines Los Baños signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 14 October 2019 at the Office of the Chancellor’s Conference Room.
Initiated by the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology, UPLB Chancellor Dr. Fernando C. Sanchez Jr. signed separate MOUs with Honda Philippines Inc. Assistant Vice-President for Business Management Ma. Beth S. Alejandro and with Fuji-Haya General Manager Roberto F. Anonas Jr.
Both parties agreed to develop collaborative activities on the basis of equality and reciprocity such as OJT/ Practicum/ Internship for student, job placement, joint research programs, consultancy/ technical advise, training programs and seminars, involvement in the design of CEAT curriculum, Adopt-a-Room laboratory, Adopt-a-Student/Scholarship Programs, Adopt CEAT technology and other activities deemed appropriate by both Parties.
The agreements are effective on the date of MOU signing and shall continue for a period of three years.
CEAT Dean Arnold R. Elepaño, Associate Dean Myra G. Borines, three Honda staff and one from Fuji-Haya are also present during the signing ceremony. (Mary Jane F. Gallardo)
