“Plan for your personal growth, know yourself, keep afloat and build and nurture relationships”, these are the key points that Hon. Ireneo V. Vizmonte, Undersecretary of the Management Services Group of the Department of Trade and Industry and CEAT alumnus, advised to the 351 graduates of CEAT this 2019.

The Department of Chemical Engineering (DChE) produced the highest number of graduates with 123 students followed by the Department of Civil Engineering (DCE) with 97.

The Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) has 45 graduates while the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIE) and Institute of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (IABE) both have 43 graduates in their departments.

2019 CEAT Class Valedictorian, Chester Jules A. Tantoco (BSChE, magna cum laude, GWA 1.316) shared his experiences in his college journey and challenge his fellow graduates to plan their steps and strive in life to attain success after graduation.

Part of the program is Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Portia G. Lapitan, who gave the opening message in behalf of UPLB Chancellor Fernando C. Sanchez Jr.

Meanwhile, UPLB- CEAT AA (UPAE Los Baños Chapter) President Engr. Pantaleon LL. Tabanao led the oathtaking of the graduates as a symbol of their membership to the CEAT Alumni Association.

The Testimonial program, which took place on 22 June 2019 at the UPLB Baker Hall, was organized by the Office of the College Secretary headed by Asst. Prof. Angelo C. Ani and was attended by the graduates and their family members and some faculty and staff of the college. (Mary Jane F. Gallardo)
