“Not only with technical knowledge but also with critical skills, problem solving abilities and a strong work ethics- these qualities will be your greatest assets as you navigate the real world challenges that lie ahead”, these are the key points that Dr. Fernando O. Mendoza, Director of Civil Service Commission and CEAT alumnus, advised to the 351 graduates of CEAT this 2023.

Despite the academic challenges brought by the pandemic, the college was able to produce 300 graduates for the Class of 2023 including 115 students with Latin Honors (30 magna cum laude and 85 cum laude).

In his valedictory address, Mr. Timothy Regienald R. Zepeda of the BS Electrical Engineering program, shared his experiences and hardships during his college journey and thank the people who have helped him overcome these challenges.

Dr. Jose V. Camacho, Jr., UPLB Chancellor, also attended the program despite his busy schedule and delivered an inspirational message to all graduates and parents.

Meanwhile, Engr. Pantaleon LL. Tabanao, President of the UPLB CEAT Alumni Association (UPAE Los Baños Chapter), led the oathtaking of the graduates as a symbol of their membership to the organization.

The testimonial program, which took place on 3 August 2023 at the E.B. Copeland Gymnasium, was spearheaded by the Office of the College Secretary under Dr. Butch G. Bataller. With the theme “Mga Inhinyerong Pinanday ng Hamon ng Panahon para sa Isang Matatag na Lipunan”, the event was attended by the graduates and their family members and some faculty and staff of the college. (Mary Jane F.
