The College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology has signed four Memoranda of Understanding with new partner companies on 27 Feb. 2024 at the UPLB Office of the Chancellor Executive Conference Room.
Dr. Agham Cuevas (VC for Academic Affairs), on behalf of Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr., joined Dr. Marion Lux Y. Castro (OIC, CEAT) and representatives from SM Engineering Design & Development (Ms. Nina Reyes and Ms. Catherine Castro), Woodfields Consultants, Inc. (CEO Arnel B. Nacion and Ms. Marisheen D. Macarasig), Sercomm Corporation (Ms. Cristina Sun and Ms. Jane Cabras), and Mobilect Power Corporation (Mr. Jarev Divinagracia) in the ceremonial signing event.
Both parties agreed to develop collaborative activities on the basis of equality and reciprocity such as internship, job placement and joint research programs among others.
The partnership will run for three years.
Also present to witness this momentous event were Asst. Prof. Crisaulo Reynoso (Chair, Dept. of Civil Engineering), Asst Prof. Andre Cruz, Asst Prof. Kim Jay Rosano, Dr. Ariel Miguel Aragoncillo, Engr. John Francis Chan, Ms. Mary Jane Gallardo, Engr Gio Marcos, and Mr. Rusellen Baraquio. Engr. Edward Joseph Maguindayao served as the host of the ceremony.
CEAT celebrated its 112th Founding Anniversary on February 24, 2024 with the theme “Championing Industry 5.0 through Adaptive Engineering. The ceremonial MOU signing event is the second installment of the month-long celebration activities of the college. (Mary Jane F. Gallardo)
