“[As a college] you’re expanding tall now because you are standing on the shoulders of those before you particularly the [CEAT alumni]” said Dr. Portia Lapitan, UPLB Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, during the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology (CEAT)’s 107th Foundation Day and the Center for Agri-Fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization (BIOMECH)’s 40th Anniversary on 22 February 2019.

With the theme “Building the Nation through Innovation”, CEAT Dean, Dr. Arnold R. Elepaño, mentioned in his short speech the accomplishments of the college in developing and generating innovational technologies for the purpose of serving the Filipino people and the recent revision of CEAT’s 4-year BS curricular programs to include Innovationeering track. Meanwhile, Dr. Victor A. Rodulfo Jr., BIOMECH Director, shared the history of CEAT and recognized the support of UPLB Administration and CEAT Alumni in the projects and events of college.

Outstanding Faculty, Staff and Research Team, Board Examination Topnotchers, Loyalty Awardees and CEAT Degree Programs’ Top Students were also awarded during the celebration program.

The college’s official Audio-Video Presentation (AVP) was also presented for the first time in the public.

Other officials present during the program were UPLB Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension Dr. Rex B. Demafelis, UPLB Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development Dr. Marish S.
