The College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology faculty, staff and students participated in a workshop seminar entitled “Design Thinking and Technopreneurship” on April 29.

The seminar served as an avenue for CEAT students to gain additional knowledge since Technopreneurship and Innovationeering courses are now incorporated in the undergraduate curricula started on the Academic Year 2018-2019.

Moreover, graduate students of the college (MS and PhD) are also required to take AENG 291 and ChE 291 Special Topic: Technopreneurship in their studies or the ENTR 271 Technology Commercialization and Technopreneurship in the College of Economics (CEM).

Organized by the UPLB Technology Transfer and Business Development Office, in partnership with DOST-PCIEERD, the workshop seminar aims to open the horizons of UPLB employees and students in engaging in entrepreneurship and business. It also opens opportunities in and within university in doing a start-up business.

The seminar is part of the UPLB TTBDO Seminar Series which was held on different colleges on April 1, 8 and 29, 2019. The speakers invited were Mr. Rodel Anunciado (BS Agriculture alumnus) and Ms. Joie Cruz (BS Development Communication alumna) who shared their knowledge on “Mindsetting and Entrepreneurship” and “Design”.
