The BS Electrical Engineering and BS Industrial Engineering programs of the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology will be undergoing the UPLB External Quality Assurance (UPLB-EQA) Assessment (Type A) on 11-15 September 2023.
The opening program for CEAT EQA Assessment was held today, 8;00AM at IE 100 Room. The event was attended by Dr. Myra G. Borines (UPLB-QAO Director), Assoc. Prof. Jovencio Hubert A. Abalos, Assoc. Prof. Rosemarie D. Eusebio, Assoc. Prof. Rhea L. Gumasing (UPLB EQA Assessors Team), Dr. Marion Lux Y. Castro (CEAT Officer-in-Charge), Dr. Rossana Marie C. Amongo (VC for Planning and Development), DIE and DEE faculty and staff, UPLB QAO staff, and Asst. Prof. Christian C. Vaso (DES Chair).
The implementation of the external quality assurance assessment for Types A and B is in compliance with OC Memo No. 097 S. 2023 dated 19 July 2023 and OVPAA Memo. No. 2023-15 which requires undergraduate programs to schedule and complete the External Quality Assurance (EQA) review/assessment/accreditation this year. The activity will be spearheaded by the UPLB Quality Assurance Office.
The EQA Program Level Assessment in UPLB is scheduled to take place from September 2023 to December 2023. It will be conducted based on the criteria and assessment procedures by the ASEAN University Network- Quality Assurance (AUN-QA). The activity itinerary includes interview with the college administrators, unit SAR team, department head, support staff, students, alumni, and employers, facility visit, and presentation of preliminary assessment result.
